Drag and drop on the calendar

On a computer or an iPad, fit something in, move an appointment or put it back in “To fit in”, in one move.

On a computer and on an iPad, the calendar and your things to plan are side by side: the week, with the “To fit in” list next to it (underneath, on an iPad held upright). Anything you can do with the buttons on a thing, you can also do by dragging it, in Day or Week view, the views that show the hours.

The calendar on an iPad: the week with The right moment and the appointments, and underneath it the To fit in list, with the chimney sweep opened out showing “Drag onto the calendar to set the date”

Fit something in

Drag something from “To fit in” onto an hour of the week. As you drag, a label shows the day, the time and what will happen:

  • “Appointment booked”: an appointment to book is marked as booked and added to your calendar.
  • “To do here”: a task is fitted in at that time, just as with “Choose the day…”.
  • “Past day: marked as done”: if you drop it on a day that has already gone, the thing is marked as done on that day, once you confirm.

Move an appointment

Drag an appointment or a fitted-in task to another time or another day: “Appointment moved”, in your calendar too. Something already done moves in the same way, to another past day, or to the top of a day for the whole day, once you confirm.

Put something back in “To fit in”

Drag an appointment or a task from the week to the “To fit in” list. The list lights up and shows what will happen:

  • “Cancel the appointment”: once you confirm, the appointment leaves your calendar and the thing goes back to “To fit in”, as it was before you booked it.
  • “Remove from the week”: the task leaves the week straight away.

On iPhone

On an iPhone, the calendar and “To plan” are two separate tabs: you do the same things with the buttons on a thing, or with its menu by pressing and holding it. See Book an appointment and Choose the day for a task.
