Getting started

Do I need to create an account?
No. You start straight away, on your computer or your phone. An account is for the subscription, and with it the online copy and sharing: you create it when you take out a plan, with your email address and a password.
On which devices?
Available on Mac, iPhone / iPad and Android. Coming soon to PC. With the Family plan, what you note on one appears on the others: up to 3 devices per person, 5 with the Comfort plan. The free version stays on a single device.
What about my Google or Apple calendar?
If you wish, TimeAcappella shows it in its week, next to your things to plan, and you manage it without leaving: add an appointment, move it, delete it. Everything appears in your usual calendar.
How do I add the boiler service?
Click “Add”, then “Boiler service”. Say when it was last serviced: TimeAcappella works out the rest.
And for Mum?
Add her to your contacts, then her things to plan: the boiler, the smoke alarms, her car inspection. Each thing says who it's for.
What if my sister wants to help?
Share something with her: “Share…”, then her name. She gets a link, sees the task and ticks “Done”, without installing anything. Sharing comes with the Family plan: as many things as you like.

Day to day

What does “To fit in” mean?
These are the things whose time has come. Drag one onto your week to give it a place.
I let the date go by. What happens?
The thing waits for you in “To fit in”, with a little clock, and TimeAcappella keeps reminding you of it.
How do I say it's done?
Click “Done”. TimeAcappella tells you when the next time will be.
And my appointments?
Note down an appointment you've booked: it goes into your calendar, the one you already use, and TimeAcappella keeps track of it until the day itself.

Subscription and sharing

Is it free?
On one device, yes, with no ads. What you note then stays on that device, with no backup. To have it on your computer and your phone, keep it safe and share it with the whole family, there's the Family plan, paid yearly.
Do my loved ones have to pay?
No. The Family plan brings together up to 5 people with the app, including you. Those who only have the link to a shared thing have nothing to pay and nothing to install.
Can I share with the free version?
Sharing comes with the Family plan: “Share…” is there, and takes you to it. But anyone can open a link they receive and tick “Done”, without paying or installing anything.
Where do I subscribe?
On this website, in the computer app, or on iPhone and iPad, through the App Store. One subscription covers all your devices.
Who sees what I share?
The people who have the link, and only what you have shared. What you keep to yourself, we show to no one.
Will my sister get the reminders?
With just the link, no, and the page tells her so. If she wants the reminders on her phone, she installs the app: the thing appears there. On your side, the reminders carry on until someone ticks “Done”.

If something happens

I've lost my phone. Do I lose everything?
With the Family plan, no: what you note is also on your computer, and in your online copy. Install the app on the new phone, sign in with your email address and password, and everything comes back. With the free version, yes: what you noted was only on that phone.
I've lost my computer and my phone.
With the Family plan, everything comes back: install the app on a new device and sign in with your email address and password. Forgotten it? Choose “Forgot password?”, in the app or in My Account.
I've forgotten my password.
In My Account, choose “Forgot password?”: we'll email you so you can choose a new one. Nothing is lost, and your devices stay signed in.
