Is your sister popping round to your mum's this weekend? Share the gutter cleaning with her. She gets a link, sees the thing and can tick “Done”, without installing the app or creating an account.
- Open up the thing and tap the share button, next to the pencil. Or press and hold the thing, then tap “Share…”.
- The first time, enter your first name: the page will say who is sharing.
- Type their first name, then tap “Prepare the message”.
- Tap “Send…” to send it by text message, WhatsApp or email, or tap “Copy the message”.
The same window shows who the thing is already shared with: “Copy the link” gives you their link again, and each person has their own.
What the other person sees
The link page shows the title, who it's for, the date, the appointment if there is one, and the last time. It never shows your notes or the rest of your notebook. They don't get any reminders, and the page tells them so.
When it's done
They tick “Done” on the page, and can undo it within 10 minutes. On your side, the app tells you, notes the day and works out the next time. Until it's done, your reminders carry on, so no one relaxes too soon.
The same link works the following times too, so there's nothing to send again next year.
Stop sharing
In the same window, tap “Stop sharing…”: their link stops working. Anything already ticked “Done” stays in your notebook.
